Langless Langless

Record or stream in another language with OBS

You speak your language and the audience hears another, live. With Langless and a virtual audio cable, your voice translated in real time becomes an audio source in OBS — to record a video, stream on Twitch or YouTube, or broadcast a talk. This guide shows the setup and the limits.

Step-by-step setup

  1. In the app, set your audience’s language as "Other language".
  2. In Listen, pick Microphone and the Continuous style (the app remembers the last style used; in Consecutive the translation doesn’t play by itself and OBS would record silence).
  3. Check the target button: it should show "🌐 Translates to" your audience’s language. If it shows yours, tap it to switch — the app remembers that choice too.
  4. In Listen’s devices, pick the virtual cable as the output (on VB-CABLE, CABLE Input).
  5. In OBS, add an audio input capture source with the cable (on VB-CABLE, CABLE Output).
  6. Mute the microphone in OBS, so the audience hears only the translation and not your original voice with it.
  7. Press ▶ in Langless and record — or, in OBS, stream instead of recording (Twitch, YouTube…).

Cable step by step: VB-CABLE on Windows and BlackHole on Mac (in Chrome or Edge).

A talk or an online event

The same setup works for a talk: use the cable as the audio in OBS or directly on the event platform (as if it were its microphone). The audience hears the translation instead of your voice.

Frequently asked questions

Does the audience hear my voice?

No. They hear the AI’s voice, with the translation, a few seconds after you speak.

Does it work on a phone?

No. The setup needs a computer: that’s where the app sends the translation to the virtual cable and OBS picks it up.

Can I stream in more than one language at once?

Not with a single setup: it translates into one language at a time, whatever is in "🌐 Translates to".

Does it have to be OBS?

No. Any recording or streaming program that accepts an audio input device works — the virtual cable shows up as a microphone.
